My Background

Personal Profile

Hailing from Ohio, I worked in many different countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United States, and have been calling Chicago home for the past 8 years. As a Product Strategist and certified Project Management Professional, I've worked in many different industries from Healthcare, Benefit Administration to FinTech and Digital Transformation. I have two bachelor's degrees in Marketing & International Business and a master's degree in Technology with six years experience in strategizing, designing, and executing the ideal experience for users, solving problems and face-to-face client interaction.

My past work includes planning designing Behavioral Health users experiences, enhancing a large food suppliers ordering platform using data modernization, and building the internally facing platform engine with a Fintech firm. In Product Strategy and Design, I start by defining the problem, understanding our users, and devising possible solutions—to assigning strategic priorities, creating business requirements, user stories, roadmaps and designs like wireframes and prototypes using Human Centered Design principles.

FUN FACT: I am fluent in English, Turkish and Arabic and basic in Japanese.

In my role as a Product Strategist, I unified the vision between stakeholders and product owners to create holistic, iterative product roadmaps. Partnering with external teams I lead the effort to consistently reevaluate estimations, timelines, and scope based on information uncovered during development. Balancing this against market insights, user experience, and business drivers, I would measure efforts against metrics like OKRs or KPIs to ensure I am building the next best feature possible.

In my role as CEO, my team and I applied for SBIR Phase I funding by preparing a Proposal Strategy which would include analyzing Market Feasibility and Opportunity, working with the R&D engineering team to draft all the work needed to develop Low-density Multifunctional Graphene Foam as an Explosion Suppression Material and prepared a project budget which would be allocated to consultants & subcontractors, materials, project travel, and other direct costs including UIUC Research Park office/lab costs. Digital Materials was awarded Phase I funding by the Department of Defense (Navy).

I led strategic, enterprise-wide implementations of new products and designed product enhancements that are critical to the retention of accounts, maintained market relevancy, and responded to legislative and regulatory initiatives.

I worked on multiple projects to build healthcare client specific sites and UAT tested these sites to ensure proper functionality and quality. As I worked with clients, I used our Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to import Medical and Medicare plans, rules, prices, and documents while adjusting to clients’ specific requirements. I also collaborated with software developers to suggest software enhancements or bugs for our platform. Excel was my one of my main tools for analyzing data and resolving data discrepancies between our platform and other external healthcare vendors.
